Privacy Policy

Mintlog ("we", "our", or "the app") is operated as an independent application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Mintlog mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Voice recordings and transcriptions: When you record a voice note, the audio is transcribed using on-device speech recognition. Audio files are stored locally on your device.
- Text entries: Notes and ideas you type directly into the app.
- Preferences: Your selected role (e.g., Founder, Product Manager) and theme preference.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifier: A randomly generated anonymous device ID used to associate your entries with your device on our server. This is not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or any personal identity.
- Subscription status: We verify your subscription status through RevenueCat to determine access to Pro features. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to their processing of subscription data.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not use analytics SDKs or third-party tracking.
- We do not serve advertisements.
2. How We Use Your Information
- AI analysis: Your entry text is sent to our server and processed using Google Gemini AI models to generate business insights, vision cards, chat responses, and UI mockups. We send only the text content required for analysis.
- Storing entries: Your entries are stored on our server (Cloudflare Workers KV) associated with your anonymous device ID so you can access them across sessions.
- Subscription management: Your anonymous device ID is used with RevenueCat to manage Pro subscription access.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local storage: App settings, preferences, cached insights, and audio files are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage.
- Server storage: Entry text, AI-generated insights, and related data are stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure using encrypted-at-rest key-value storage.
- Audio files: Voice recordings remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Only the transcribed text is sent for AI processing.
- Encryption: All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini AI (Google LLC): Processes your entry text to generate insights and analysis. Google's AI terms and privacy policy apply to their processing. We do not send audio, only text.
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc.): Manages subscription purchases and entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare Inc.): Hosts our backend API and stores entry data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Your entries and associated AI-generated content are retained on our servers as long as you use the app.
- You can delete individual entries at any time from within the app. Deleting an entry removes it and all associated data (insights, chat history, mockups, vision cards, and plans) from both your device and our servers.
- If you uninstall the app, locally stored data (settings, audio files, cached data) is automatically removed by your device. Server-side data associated with your anonymous device ID will be retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
6. Children's Privacy
Mintlog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete your entries and all associated data at any time within the app.
- Request deletion of all server-side data by contacting us.
- Access the data we store by contacting us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
